Some eventful and uneventful moments

Okayyyyyyy. Let's start with yesterday! Slept in until my first class, Agroecology, uneventful, came back,  and went to the gym, oh breakthrough moment! I'm picking up Aussie slang, I actually said 'how ya going?' without even thinking about it! My last class of the day was really boring, so then I just bummed around till dinner. Then hung out with my friend Maggie and couldn't fall asleep until 3:30 am, sooo I'm pretty tired today. That was exciting wasn't it? That is why I did not do a whole post to that yesterday.

Today was bit more interesting. I actually got up for breakfast!!! That never happens. Had like 8 hashbrowns with 'tomato paste'. Had class at 10, Effective Speaking, very weird. We spent nearly an hour warming up our bodies and vocals with these strange exercises, making weird noises. Not sure if it did anything for me. Better than just sitting around though! And then my next class was canceled yay! So I even got to go to lunch! This never happens. And it got sunny! My day did a 180 at this point. :) I took a nap until three when Liz picked me up for fieldwork! We went to a new location in Glen Boughton I think? Gotta check that spelling. Omg the forest was absolutely incredible after the rain, I don't know how to describe it. I wish my pictures could do it justice. Everything was so green and lush. This was my favorite site so far. At the base of the mountain they grew sugar cane and bananas. We also rebaited the traps in the guinea grass. A little shorter than sugar cane. The mozzys couldn't get me today in my new pants! Thank god, they were so many. Found some great scat samples walking around in the banana fields ;) It was a great day.
Oh and I added a video I took in the forest!!
Stylin' in my fieldwork outfit. Oh yeah.

Hungry Jacks. Owned by burger king!

View across the street from the site.

Entrance to the site.

Creek where we first walk in.

I'm not sure. A cool tree!

Bananas! Under the bags.

Amazing.
