wow! I have been so busy this week I have been so bad and not posted since Sunday! Let me fix that right now!
Monday was a busy day of just getting things done. I booked a camping trip for the last weekend in April at Fitzroy Island, I tanned by the pool, I went to the gym, did some work for an assignment, and searched for classes I need for next semester. I have decided to minor in Spanish! Im excited about it. I ended the night watching movies with my friends.
Tuesday I woke up at 4 am to sign up for classes at my 2 pm time appointment in the US. Then it was another great day at the zoo! More time cleaning obviously, and rat room duty, but I got to handle/feed a bunch of snakes.... along with sorting dead baby mice and rats by size haha. But I am learning a lot and it so cool to be around all these snakes. That afternoon I met up with my partner to start work on my group project for agroecology, our topic is oil pam production. woo hoo :p. It should be somewhat interesting. After that I went into the city with my friends Annie, Sam and Amanda to see the movie The Lorax. Omg it was so good! I absolutely loved it. It is now one of my favorite movies. And I got more California Oranges!
Wednesday was my usual busy day of classes. Then I hung around until it was time to go to Zumba with Sam. I love it so much! Such a good workout. After that we celebrated my friend Annie's birthday. We just hung by the pool and had ice cream. We got her a chocolate lava cake as a present!
Thursday I had class and spent the whole day in the library working on one of my assignments. I made major progress! I love feeling productive. Later that night my friends Ruth and Ellen were having a bonfire on the beach so we went to that. I can't even describe how beautiful it was. The moon was full and there were hardly any clouds. The ocean looked amazing. It was a great night.
Friday we just lounged around all day and tanned by the pool. Here we have a mini break since we have Good Friday and Easter Monday off. Yay four day weekend! Then I went with my friend Maggie to spend the night at my friend Laura's parents house. It was so cool to actually see inside a residential Australian house haha. It was so beautiful! She lives literally on the beach, the view is amazing, I felt like I was on vacation. It was so open and airy. We spent the night making dinner and watching movies. Yay for home cooked food!
Today we had some of our friends over her house and spent the day by her pool and at the beach. It was a wonderful day. We made pancakes in the morning! I never have those anymore. Then we made dinner before Maggie and I grabbed the bus back to the lodge. Tonight I am going with my friends into the city.
We have been graced with such beautiful sunny weather all week. It is so nice to have the humidity gone.
I will update with pictures soon!
