Once we were in line for boarding there was a stressful moment when they were eyeing my extra large carry on...They had already called out a person in front of me and made them check their bag. But somehow I managed to hide it and scurry onto the plane! We actually went outside to board the plane. Then I slept through the 3 and a half hour flight. I missed the views but it went by very fast. We arrived in Adelaide no problem and took a shuttle to Tatt's backpackers hostel where we are spending the night. It is very basic but it serves the purpose. Adelaide is a very different city. Much bigger with lovely tall brick buildings. After a quick dinner I am going straight to sleep. I am exhausted and we need to be up at 515 to get picked up for kangaroo island tomorrow!

Day one in Adelaide!
I woke up early today to begin packing. Fortunately cat, my roommate, was able to loan me her small rolling suitcase that I could take as a carry on. It just barely fit the size requirements... Not really. After some stressful phone calls we were able to book the shuttle bus to take us to the airport, they almost were not able to fit me in! It was the easiest airport experience I have ever had. It took all of 5 minutes to get through security and they don't even ask for your ID or make you take off your shoes. So strange. So we relaxed and I had some green tea while we waited for our flight.
