I can't believe I leave for Adelaide tomorrow! I don't know where the time has gone. I am so excited. Our flight leaves tomorrow at 4:45. And then the next day we start our tour of Kangaroo Island. I will have to take lots of notes to remember everything for my blog!
So! This week I just got stuff done that I needed to. My presentation went very well on Wednesday! I was happy with it. Nothing else too exciting happened, besides finally doing laundry! It was pouring rain. I just did some work and then hung with my friend Maggie.
Thursday was much the same. I got some major work done on my Agroecology class. I just buckled down, put on some music and worked in the library for a few hours. Oh, and of course right when I leave to go to class it starts raining like crazy. I didn't put my books in plastic bags so I got the bottoms all soaked, and my raincoat wasn't long enough so my shorts were so wet I could literally wring them out by the time I got to class. I just feel bad I got the seat all wet! Then that night I went into town with my some of my friends. There were a lot of people out, it was a good night. I love how international Cairns is.
Today I had to read aloud in my Effective Speaking class. We are graded on vocal clarity and enthusiasm I think. It is an actual assessment. I chose to read an excerpt from The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe. I think everyone enjoyed it, it is a good read. In a few minutes Liz is coming by to get me and then I will be setting up traps for the rest of the afternoon. Then tonight I will pack!!!!! Ahhhh I can't wait!
