The day started off normal, feed the rats, sweep and clean the reptile house, and then I cleaned the cases of a bunch of different lizards, changing food, water etc, that was good. After morning tea we headed over to clean the rat room, the usual, uneventful, but still good. I think that took the rest of the time until lunch. After that we finished spraying down the rat room before watching the croc show. Next we got to watch them feed the baby alligators! Chicks were on the menu today, Happy Easter indeed! Then we got to go in with the baby alligators and clean out their little pool, they just ran away from us. After that we went back to the reptile house and we took out two snakes, a boa constrictor from South America and the native olive python. The olive python was so long! We held them and the keepers took pictures for us! I really like everyone who works there, they are all so laid back and nice. Then Ashley and I were in charge of watching the snakes as we let them slither about on the grass, making sure they didn't stray too far. What a fun way to end the afternoon! I think you'll enjoy the pictures!
