ZooDay 2

Fabulous day at the zoo! Started off early as usual. The first thing we did today was go check on all the reptiles, then I fed and watered the mice, cleaned the glass, swept the floor, then we started on feeding. We cut up a few mice and then went around and feed some lizards, turtles and frogs. I love the green tree frogs! They hopped right onto my hand they were so eager, they feel so soft and sticky, like play-doh. After that I carried the photo snake over to the picture area. During morning tea I walked around the zoo and got to see everything. Then we went back to the rat room and cleaned them out, took some out for feeding, cut up fruit for them. Then we had lunch. After that I watched them axe a chicken and do the croc show, then helped out with feeding of pretty big snakes, holding the 'shield' so the snake couldn't get out. Then I cleaned a few more lizards cages, changed their water, sprayed down some really cute lizards, can't remember their name. I wish I could remember all their names! Oh yes and I got new leaves and decorated the enclosure of one of the geckos! It was just an awesome day.

And of course I got off at the wrong bus stop again, this time not the one past my stop, but before it, so I had to walk an extra 15 minutes to get back to the lodge! Typical. Maybe 3rd times the charm.

Tonight I'm exhausted so I'll just be hanging out with the roommates and going to sleep early.
